Topic

The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers from different fields to explore the latest advancements in high Rayleigh number convection. By bridging experimental, numerical, and theoretical approaches, we aim to foster collaborations across the field of Rayleigh-Bénard convection and its applications—from industrial processes to geophysical systems.

A full day will review critical connections between turbulent thermal convection and geophysical processes, offering new insights into convection in Nature.

It is the tenth workshop on Rayleigh-Bénard turbulence after Santa Barbara (2000), Ilmenau (2001), Leiden (2003), Trieste (2006), Les Houches (2010), Hong Kong (2012), Göttingen (2015), Twente (2018) and Xi'an (2023).
